New Service: Clean and Extend

Carpets. They have been around since the early 1700’s, and since then they have needed cleaned. With the evolution of the carpet itself, the cleaning industry has developed new and innovative ways to keep up with carpet maintenance. Hot water extraction and Texatherm are both very effective methods which PLT employs to keep our clients’ carpets sparkling, but what happens when these methods just aren’t enough to remove set-in stains? For years, the answer has been simple: you replace the carpet tile and throw the old one in the basement or loading bay. What is the fate of these expensive, discarded tiles? Are they doomed to spend the rest of their existence in the basement? Are you doomed to spend increasing amounts of money on new carpeting? Luckily, this may not be your fate now that PLT services has a better, more cost-effective option: Clean&Extend.

Clean&Extend is an innovative service that, only offered by PLT, gives you a price and environmental advantage. Conscious of increasing landfill waste, PLT wanted to create something to re-use these stained carpet tiles. So how does this process work? Once the stained carpet tiles are removed and brought down for storage, PLT can come in and remove them right away. Off-site, we are able to use different chemicals and methods to get these old tiles looking like new. Once returned, no one will be able to tell the difference between these tiles and those recently purchased.

Why choose this service instead of just buying new carpet? It’s all about cost. These carpet tiles can be very expensive. The ROI for your original carpet purchase will be much higher than with normal replacement. This rejuvenation will give your carpet valuable extra time. This is especially important in client-facing areas where first impressions are key.
