Carpet Cleaning

Carpet cleaning – when done properly - is cost effective, helping to prolong the life and appearance of your carpets. PLT services will offer several cleaning methods, which take into account the construction, age, and use of the area/s to be cleaned. It may be that several processes are used on the same carpet in order to achieve the best result possible.

If you are a commercial cleaning or facilities company, we can help in the delivery of either nationwide or local contracts. We guarantee our work and ensure that the relationship with your client/s is maintained by our professionalism and subject knowledge. We can also deliver this service to individual clients who want to know that the company they are using are best suited to deliver excellent results at competitive prices.

PLT have always made sure that they are abreast of any developments or new products in the market. In this way the equipment and the chemicals used by us are the best available, giving great results to our clients.

We do not offer a “one size fits all” approach. Instead, every job and client is treated as an individual. It may be that you require a one-off clean, or you may wish to have a regular scheduled maintenance programme put in place. The varied use of carpeted areas means that a bespoke service is the only way to provide an accurate solution to the needs of each site.

The main methods we use are Texatherm and hot water extraction.

This is a virtually dry process of cleaning which has excellent results on low profile carpets or carpet tiles.

The benefits of this method are:

  • Carpets stay cleaner for longer as there are no residues left behind
  • No risk of water damage, shrinkage, mildew or mould
  • Excellent stain removal properties
  • The heat from the system kills any eggs or larvae in the carpets, helping to reduce infestations and the problems associated with them
  • The chemicals used cannot trigger any allergies
  • The process is very gentle to the carpet
  • Leaves carpets static free

Hot water extraction

In some instances, it is necessary to use hot water extraction, especially where carpets are particularly dirty or soiled. The advanced equipment we use, allied to the best chemical solutions on the market ensure that the carpet is left in as good a condition as possible. The powerful vacuums drive the chemical solution deep into the pile, and then suck it out immediately, ensuring that the carpet is dry in a relatively short time. The solution also deodorises at the same time.

The benefits of this method are:

  • Even deep-down soil is removed
  • Great at bringing carpets “back to life”
  • Dry in a relatively short time
  • Any eggs or larvae are sucked out
  • Can be used as part of a maintenance programme

Regular carpet maintenance

In order to maintain your carpets in good order it is necessary to implement a regular carpet cleaning schedule. This may be a six monthly clean in a quiet office with staff who are careful, to a weekly or monthly clean in a front of house environment that is client facing.

We will visit your site and put together the programme that best suits both it and your budget. Clean, stain free carpets say a lot about your business and the visual impact they have on your clients can make a real difference. Money well spent on regularly maintaining your carpets has a very real return on investment!

Once we have agreed the maintenance programme with you, we will ascertain the best time for the work to be carried out to ensure there is no down time for your business. Our trained staff will arrive on the day and time agreed, and on completion will make sure – where possible – that our satisfaction sheet is signed, sent to you with our invoice. Some sites may not have a time where it is possible to clean everything at once. If this is the case, we will have a meeting to plan how to best clean the site, making sure that every area is done.
